What is Prompt Designer?

Prompt Designer is a mobile app that helps you create effective AI prompts using pre-built templates. You can customize templates, save your own, manage variables, and test API integrations—all from your phone.

Is Prompt Designer free?

Yes! Prompt Designer is completely free to download and use. All features are available at no cost.

Do I need to create an account?

No! Prompt Designer doesn't require any account creation, email registration, or login. Just download and start using it immediately.

Where is my data stored?

All your prompts, templates, and variables are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, ensuring your data stays private and secure.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

If you uninstall Prompt Designer, all your locally stored data (prompts, templates, variables) will be permanently deleted. We recommend using the export feature to back up important data before uninstalling.

Can I sync my data across devices?

Currently, Prompt Designer stores data locally on each device. However, you can use the export/import feature to manually transfer your data between devices.

How do I export my data?

To export your data:

1. Open the app menu (three dots in the top right)
2. Select "Settings"
3. Tap "Export Data"
4. Choose where to save the file

This creates a JSON file containing all your prompts, templates, and variables.

How do I import data from another device?

To import data:

1. Transfer the exported JSON file to your new device
2. Open Prompt Designer
3. Go to Settings → Import Data
4. Select the JSON file

What are User Variables?

User Variables let you store values (like API keys, tokens, or frequently used text) that you can reuse across prompts and webhooks. This saves time and ensures consistency.

Are my API keys safe?

API keys and tokens are stored locally on your device. We recommend:

• Using device encryption and a secure lock screen
• Only storing test/development keys, not production keys
• Regularly rotating sensitive credentials

What can I do with the Webhook/API feature?

The Webhook/API feature lets you test API calls directly from the app. You can:

• Send POST, GET, PUT, DELETE requests
• Add custom headers and body parameters
• Use variables for dynamic values
• Save frequently used API configurations as templates

Can I create my own templates?

Yes! You can create custom prompt templates and API templates. Simply fill in the fields, then tap "Save Custom Template" to reuse them later.

Which platforms is Prompt Designer available on?

Prompt Designer is available on:

• iOS: iPhone and iPad (iOS 13.0 or later)
• Android: Phones and tablets (Android 6.0 or later)

How do I report a bug?

If you encounter a bug, please email us at support@adeptimus.com with:

• Description of the issue
• Steps to reproduce it
• Your device model and OS version
• Screenshots (if applicable)

Can I request new features?

Absolutely! We love hearing from users. Send your feature requests to support@adeptimus.com with a description of what you'd like to see.

Does Prompt Designer work offline?

Yes! All core features (creating prompts, using templates, managing variables) work completely offline. Only the webhook/API testing and template refresh features require an internet connection.

Why does the app need internet access?

Internet access is optional and only used for:

• Sending webhook/API requests
• Refreshing remote template options
• Analytics (can be disabled in device settings)

All other features work completely offline.

How do I delete all my data?

To delete all data, simply uninstall the app. Since everything is stored locally, uninstalling removes all your data permanently.

Is my data encrypted?

Data stored in the app uses your device's built-in encryption (if enabled). We recommend:

• Enabling device encryption in your phone's settings
• Using a strong lock screen password/PIN
• Keeping your OS up to date

Can I use Prompt Designer for commercial purposes?

Yes! You can use Prompt Designer for personal or commercial purposes. The prompts and content you create are yours to use however you like.
